However, if you are looking at themore typical smaller scale type of home business, especiallyMLM, then rarely should you have to spend more than a fewhundred to a few thousand (at most) dollars to successfullylaunch your new home based business. ??And, unless you have"deep pockets" and really know what you're doing, always growyour business out of profit. In other words, invest a reasonableamount necessary for a successful start, make some money, andthen invest back into your business to make more money. That wayyou won't get hurt financially [ at least not to any significantdegree ], mortgage your home, or lose your life savings or401(k), etc.5. Engage in a "Systems" approach to starting and building yourbusiness that makes it a step-by-step, "cookie cutter" processthat offers a reasonable chance of success if you follow thesystem. When Ray Kroc made McDonald's into the most successful franchisein history he didn't do it by duplicating himself, but bydeveloping a system recognized the World over as model ofefficiency, duplication, and consistency, that allows you towalk into any McDonald's restaurant anywhere and receive thesame level of food and service, and clean bathrooms, as will befound in any other. Every single employee is a uniquelydifferent person, so McDonald's is certainly no expert atduplicating people, but they are among the very best atduplicating systems. Most network marketing (MLM) companies also claim to havesystems that will help assure your success, yet it is well knownthat over 90 percent of the people who enter the industry fail.That's because most MLM programs try to duplicate people, and,as explained above, that simply doesn't work. So, if you want to be among the 10 percent or fewer of networkmarketers who succeed you need to seek out and obtain the verybest education and training that you can find that will show youhow to utilize systems that will truly lead to successfulresults, consistently, the majority of the time.
